Who is Frontline Manager Foundations for?

New / Frontline Manager Foundations equips new and recently promoted managers with the core skills needed to lead effectively from day one. Participants shift from doing the work to leading others, build self-awareness around their own communication style and how it affects their team, run productive 1:1s, delegate with confidence, and guide their teams through change. Managers leave this program able to lead with clarity, consistency, and confidence.

00 Who it's for

The manager this program is actually built for

Someone newly promoted or about to be — not a career executive — who needs a working set of skills for 1:1s, delegation, and feedback before their first difficult conversation, not a semester after it.

01 Curriculum

What's covered

Seven core modules, each built around a practical skill new managers use immediately.

Transitioning from Individual Contributor to Manager

Reframing your role, letting go of individual-contributor habits, and building credibility as a new leader.

Understanding Your Communication Style

A personality/behavioral assessment (DiSC or similar) to help managers understand their own style and adapt how they communicate with each member of their team.

Conducting Effective 1:1s

Structuring regular 1:1s that build trust and drive accountability.

Delegation and Setting Clear Expectations

How to hand off work effectively without micromanaging or losing accountability.

Giving and Receiving Feedback

Practical frameworks for delivering feedback that lands and staying open to feedback in return.

Leading Your Team Through Change

Applying a proven change management model (e.g., ADKAR) to help teams move through change with less resistance and more resilience.

Time Management & Prioritization for New Leaders

Balancing individual workload with new leadership responsibilities.

Includes tools & templates: 1:1 conversation guides, delegation worksheets, feedback frameworks, and change communication templates — all customizable to the client's language, values, and business context.

01b Cohort format

What a live cohort session actually looks like

Whether it's the live virtual cohort or the two-day in-person Bootcamp, the format is the same: a small group working through the same seven modules together, not a lecture.

02 Delivery formats

How is Frontline Manager Foundations delivered?

04 FAQ

Common questions about this program

How much does leadership training cost per employee?+

It depends on delivery format and headcount, so every engagement is quoted individually rather than sold off a rate card. Self-paced eLearning is licensed per person, with volume tiers that lower the per-person rate as headcount grows. Live cohort-based training is quoted flat per cohort rather than per person, so the effective per-person cost falls as you fill the cohort. Tell us your headcount, preferred format, and timeline through the contact form at /contact/ and we'll send pricing.

What is included in a frontline manager training program?+

Pediment Mindworks' New / Frontline Manager Foundations program covers transitioning from individual contributor to manager, understanding your communication style (DiSC or similar), conducting effective 1:1s, delegation and setting clear expectations, giving and receiving feedback, leading your team through change (using a model like ADKAR), and time management for new leaders. It includes 1:1 conversation guides, delegation worksheets, feedback frameworks, and change communication templates. Full detail is on /programs/frontline-manager-foundations/.

What's the difference between instructor-led and on-demand training?+

Instructor-led training (in-person or virtual) is delivered live by a facilitator to a cohort and quoted as a flat fee per cohort, so cost doesn't climb with each added participant up to the cohort cap. On-demand training is self-paced eLearning that a learner completes independently, licensed per person with volume tiers at higher headcounts. Many programs, including Frontline Manager Foundations, are available in both formats — and we'll quote either once we know your headcount.
